December 2001-This is a recent picture that was taken of my brew tower with some of the final gadgets that I added on.

In this picture, you can see a home-made cooling coil, three gas valves, and three ignitors, which you can buy to adapt from a gas bar-b-que grill.

On my 3-tier system, I have a burner on each level with a heat shield around it.

In this picture, I am 45 minutes into the boil. You can see the cooling coil is in the wort.

This is one of my home-made gadgets -- I took an ice-cream maker motor and adapted the stainless steel blades on the bottom of a stainless steel shaft, which I put in the wort in the last ten minutes of the boil. Once I turn the water onto the cooling coil, I turn on the wort mover. It has worked great in all my brews. It moves the wort around in the brew pot to cool it down much faster. I also get a better siphoning at the end.

After six months of deciding what type of system I wanted to build, I decided on a 3-tier gravity system (which I built, welded and assembled myself).

After a 5-hour brew day, here is the final wort coming from the brew kettle.

This picture is of the 3-tier system, but it is not complete - as you can see, it does not have the copper tubing, valves, or ignitors.

This a close-up of some of my controls and my push-button ignitors.

In this picture, you will see a piece of mirror plastic, which shows me the underside of the brew kettle burner; therefore, I do not need to bend down to insure that the flame is going, and to check the size of the flame.
